“Der er et yndigt land”: Danish
“There is a lovely country”: English
Denmark has goals to make their lovely land even more lovely by increasing sustainability efforts.
Denmark is concerned for their food security regarding effects on wheat yields and nitrate leaching from future temperature and precipitation variations.
Denmark currently has been experiencing more rainfall than in prior years, posing as challenge to both rural and urban areas in terms of agriculture and living condition inconveniences.
Future climate is projected to have temperature increase and precipitation increase resulting in large wheat yield reduction and less nitrate leaching.
To alleviate the pressure of flooding from extreme rainfall, a well-function drainage system is necessary to uphold the security and wellness of cities.
In response to the projections of increasing precipitation and temperature, more research needs to be done and analyzed to determine which soil type is the best to adapt to the upcoming circumstances.
